Our Contouring with Deoxycholic Acid Course at Aesthetic Mentor provides comprehensive training for licensed medical professionals seeking to learn safe, effective injection techniques using deoxycholic acid to reduce excess fat beneath the chin (the submental or double-chin area).
Deoxycholic acid is a substance found in the human body that helps break down dietary fats. When delivered through a series of carefully placed subcutaneous injections, it begins working right away to disrupt fat cells so that they are permanently eliminated from the body.
You will complete the 30-minute, web-based portion of the course at your own pace. After passing a short post-test, you will be eligible to register for the live, hands-on training session.
Once you have finished the online portion, you will attend a 4-hour, in-person lab for guided, hands-on practice. In a small-group setting, you will observe live demonstrations and then perform injections under close supervision from experienced injectors. This format allows plenty of time to refine your technique, ask questions, and gain confidence before offering deoxycholic acid contouring to your own patients.
